For a few years, I always avoided the Amy’s “Gluten Free” stuff. Recently, I couldn’t entirely remember why. I was pretty sure it was because I had a reaction to them at some point, and possibly that I had also read something calling them into question. I just could not remember the details.

To give Amy’s a fair pass, I looked over a few of their products today to try to justify my apprehension. Well, justification was pretty easy. All of their products have this little gem…

Amy’s, we don’t mind that you do not make GF stuff, but your labeling needs to be honest. The majority of us are not GF because of a fad, it is a medical necessity. Cross contamination is real. Do not call things GF when they are not.

And for the rest of us, remember to always read the labels and be suspicious.
